Steps to enable Firewall for ‘Outlook Messenger’ on McAfee 2008
  • 1. Run McAfee 2008.
  • 2. Open the McAfee Security Center console window.
  • 3. Click Internet & Network then Configure in the McAfee Security Center window.
  • 4. Click Advanced and make sure the ‘ON’ option is selected to enable Firewall protection.
  • 5. Select Program Permissions in the left hand side window.
  • 6. Click the Add Allowed Programs button to add the application under the firewall allow list.
  • 7. Browse to select the installation path and click the Open button.
  • 8. Now you can see the entry of Outlook Messenger in the Program Permissions list with Full Access Permission.
